My Reflection:

I was learning to find the value of the letters using my problem solving and number knowledge skills. I had to use what I already knew to get me started. For example in the 2nd problem I knew that the letter o was a zero because when you add it to the 2nd number it has to stay the same.

I needed to get some help on this.

My next step is to solve similar problems but ones that are slightly harder.

Kiwi Kid News Summary

My Reflection

I was learning to summarise a news item off Kiwi Kids News. To do this I needed to read the text and change the difficult words in to ones I understood. I then had to write the story in my own words and only choose the important parts. My teacher asked me to try a new website called Narrable to voice record my summary. I enjoyed using this website for the first time and working out how to use it.

I found this hard at the start but it got easier by the minute.

I would like to do something like this again.

This is me and my friends making a sandcastle at Camp M.E.R.C Long Bay.

It was fun and all the activities that we did was fun and exiting.

My favourite activity was Body Boarding.

My Reflection

I think I need to work on my Rounding and Compensating because I'm not the best at rounding and compensating. I would like to learn lots more about Algorithm. The easiest strategy I found was Place Value.

KENNINGS POEM

I was learning to write a Kennings poem.
I am proud of the words that I choose to describe me in my Kennings poem.
The new thing I learnt was to write a Kennings poem and know how many word go on a line.
The next step for me might be to use a thesaurus so I get better words for my Kennings poem.
